1.What should be Christian Priorities?
Mark 3: 21, 31-35
Jesus, in His Ministry, turned the world upside down.
Jesus here clearly states how He felt about His family and the people.
In verse 35, Jesus tells us that those who do God’s will are His brothers and sisters: “Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”
In the New Testament, Jesus’s priority is the word of God. “Now, if anyone who does the will of God is worthy to be a brother and sister,” then Jesus is worthy to be your brother and sister. But above all, He is our savior.
Jesus is practically doing what He says when it comes to being exemplary.
Jesus said in John 8:29, “The One who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone because I always do what pleases Him.” I like the word ‘always” in the above verse.
Take time to follow Jesus’ miracle, especially before He multiplied the bread and fish He always preached.
Look at His disciples’ lives. They were following Jesus, and they died like Him. Paul died like Him. If you do anything that is God’s will, do it unto death.
Jesus keeps doing God’s will even if He gets tired of it. Remember His words in Luke 22:42: “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
A few days ago, some pastors opposed my doing God’s will. What pained me was how His own Ministers could oppose His own Minister. I thought about this with tears in my eyes. Then God knew I was going to hate these people, but He revealed to me that these people were Innocent; it was Satan using them because it was only Satan who opposed the Gospel.
Jesus gave up any opportunity, whether riches, poverty, or worldly position, to be at the top of government; he always clings to the will of God, that is, the Gospel. This reminds me of Mathew 4: 4 “But He answered, “It is written:
Man must not live on bread alone.
But on every word that comes
from the mouth of God.” In verses 8-10, “Again, the Devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. And he said to Him, “I will give you all these things if you will fall and worship me.”
Then Jesus told him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written:
Worship the Lord your God,
And serve only Him.”
