2. Introduction to the Book of Genesis

In our previous message, we explored the unique perspective of the book of Genesis, which records the beginning of everything except God, as God has no beginning and end. We also discussed that 40 men wrote the Bible in three different languages on different continents. The Bible, we noted, is not a science book, a point we illustrated with quotes from Isaiah 40 and Job 26, which present a different view of the earth’s appearance than the scientific record.
I promised to comment on evolution, contrasting with the biblical view of creation. Evolution, a term that may sound complex to some, means to evolve or come from something. For instance, there is a theory that humans were not created by God but evolved from apes.
Truly, if we evolved or are not created by God as recorded in the book of Genesis and developed, the question arises: What do we grow from? This line of questioning, as some believe, leads to the idea that if we evolve from chimpanzees, then the chimpanzees evolved from what? This cycle of questioning leads to a point of futility. If you want to become mad, try to understand how God existed. This only demonstrates the enormity of God’s being, a concept that words, scientists, and humans cannot fully grasp.
Some critics may accept God is the one who created the apes we evolved from, but they cannot believe that God had no beginning and no end.
For example, if we agree to the evolutionist’s theory that God must have come from someone, then God is responsible to whoever made Him, but still, the evolutionists are accountable to this God they are arguing about; it is not valid. If God is to evolve from another creator truly, then its problem is to account for His creator, which is invalid. Imagine the evolutionists are trying to correct God by arguing the bible records, and what do you think will happen if God, who created them, needs accountability from them?
Romans 1:21-23 “They knew God but did not praise and thank him for being God. Instead, their thoughts were pointless, and their misguided minds were plunged into darkness. 22 While claiming to be wise, they became fools. 23 They exchanged the glory of the immortal God for statues that looked like mortal humans, birds, animals, and snakes.” The above verse clearly states that these critics know God. By the way, God created humans differently from animals because we have that sense of God or that desire to worship something, whether false or true God, which I will explain in later chapters of Genesis. Romans chapter 1 continues to enlighten us that just seeing some of the fantastic creations of God is evident to prove His supernatural existence. For example, God may ask those who worship what He created a simple question like, “Between me, who created you and what you worship, who is greater and deserves worship?”
Let’s try to read Psalms 19:1: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky displays what his hands have made.” If you were to address the whole world and ask a simple question like, “Who among you created the sky and prove with evidence by raising a hand?” No one would raise a hand because God created the skies.
Jesus, who is God incarnate and there during creation, also referred to Adam and Eve as real people, thus confirming the credibility of Genesis 1, which is true. When Jesus said, “I and the Father are one, ” the religious people wanted to stone Him and asked for a sign. Jesus replied, “Destroy this body and will raise it in three days.” And indeed, He rose. God makes life, and Jesus did what God can only do and approved Adam and Eve’s existence, so the creation story is literal.
Thanks. Next, we pick from verse 2 of Genesis chapter 1. (29:)
