Residents and business owners in the Lebanese city of Nabatiyeh have started clearing debris and rebuilding their businesses as they returned to the town on Saturday, following a ceasefire deal between Hezbollah and Israel. Nabatiyeh experienced some of the heaviest bombardment from Israeli warplanes during the conflict.

One resident expressed their uncertainty, stating, “We have reached a point where we do not know what to do. We are unsure how to remove the debris or restart our businesses. There are no funds or resources available. We must rebuild support one another in Nabatiyeh and the entire south, and we cannot stop. Life does not pause. The war was imposed on us, and we faced it. We should begin again, at least for the sake of the martyrs and the families who have lost loved ones.”

In the days following the tense calm, many residents of southern Lebanese towns have returned to assess the condition of their homes or what remains of them. After the recent ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel, residents and business owners in the Lebanese city of Nabatiyeh have begun the challenging process of clearing debris and restoring their livelihoods. Many returned to the town on Saturday, confronting the aftermath of the intense bombardment that Nabatiyeh endured during the conflict when Israeli warplanes targeted the area heavily.
